When going through my keyboard collection in order to get some dissection shots for all of them, I came across the DAS K3 Pro which on first glance only had 1 screw to unscrew.... How appearances (http://www.mrinterface.com/sites/default/files/P1010400.JPG) can be deceiving : I can not find any way of opening this board up. Upon removal of the screw it will not yield to any pressure I exert on it. I tried peeping behind the cushy feet to see if there were screws I missed but alas.
Did anybody ever try this before on this keyboard? Any tips? Or will the mysteries of the DAS K3 stay locked inside?
EDIT : also the Steelseries 7G (http://www.mrinterface.com/sites/default/files/P1010401.JPG) has 4 screws, but upon removing them it just will not open up.... It seems to have a screw at the place where the keyboard cord comes out.... Weird, very weird.......

Same experience here - stiff resistace around the cable outlet. I gave up at that point, as I only wanted to look inside out of curiousity. If anybody managed to open a 7G, I'd like to know the trick.

I am assuming they are both clipped together (with very strong clips) like all other Costar boards. In this case you should look for advice on how to open a Filco (I am too lazy to find it for you right now, its somewhere on the forum..).
When first opening it, you will feel like breaking the board because the resistance is so high. In the end I have always opened all my Filco boards and they never did break, but yeah it has a scary feeling to it.

ROFL oh poor little thing you broke a nail.
Do you want daddy to kiss your thumb to feel better?
I had no idea what to expect when I opened the link.
Thank you for the laughs. You made my day.

Today I found this entry in the GH Wiki (http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Opening+a+DAS+III) : that might help!
