Title: Cherry MX Reds
Post by: keyboardlover on Wed, 14 July 2010, 08:47:29
I thought I may have read somewhere that these are quite difficult to find these days. However, there are several Cherry G80 3494's for sale on ebay  (http://cgi.ebay.com/Cherry-G80-3494-Keyboard-Black-G80-3494-Linear-White-/270602674492?cmd=ViewItem&pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item3f012d213c)with MX Reds. Unfortunately, the shipping is super expensive since they're in Hong Kong. Figured I'd post it in case anyone is interested.

The listed price is stretching the possibility of buying them, let alone the shipping cost. I'm sure you could hack black and brown switches into a keyboard cheaper than that.

I have the same one (almost) with the Blues for $66.25 delivered. That's just too much with no chance for a return.

Yea, that's why I'm curious as to what these switches are actually like...I didn't see them on the switch matrix diagram. If they were added to the switch matrix, any idea where they would be?
