might be a reset switch for flashing it, the pcb for my xd75 has a switch like that

I would be interested in reading/seeing more about your custom cable. I usually like to put female GX12 aviator sockets directly on the cases of the boards I modify. I hadn't heard of these Souriau medical quick connects. It appears that they may have many variants.

I know I just finally started playing the game Vampyr, which obviously was not designed with mouse and keyboard in mind, and I'm already very irritated with how easily the micro USB port just lets go of cables and Xb1 controllers shut off. I highly doubt a GX12 socket is going to fit inside of an XB1 controller. lol

^these are pretty large, but it you talking about a feed through connection on the pc side these are good for that, but there is better for pure number of   connect/disconnects in its lifespan.

Yeah, i worked in industrial controls and electronics for a number of years, the one i'm building is based on the brand new ones they just released. I just wanted something futuristic looking that functioned well for quick connect disconnect. probably wouldnt commonly be needed but they are submergible, and resistant to all sorts of acids and bases and come with color coding (which looks cool). I will be pairing it with some fancy violet cable. I plan to put a mulitconnect feed through plate onto the surface of the desk that will feed through the desk and allow multiple connections.
the product number's start with JMX and look like (https://www.mouser.com/images/souriau/lrg/JMX_FH_06_DSL.jpg) and plug into this (while can also have a cable reducer instead for inline) https://www.mouser.com/images/souriau/lrg/JMX_HH_04_DSL.jpg (https://www.mouser.com/images/souriau/lrg/JMX_HH_04_DSL.jpg) so the nut that holds the plug is on the opposite side on the install with this type. They also make my some high end stuff for industrial and speciality/medical.
ill be wiring with this thick jacketed cable in violet (https://www.newark.com/productimages/standard/en_GB/2481158-40.jpg) to complete the fancy look.
