We really need 100-120 inch TVs ..
Projectors not an option, contrast is unsuitable for modern discs/ home media color grades.
Thoughts ?

Thougnts? You need a bigger chair. If forced to sit closer your 'small' screen would look bigger :p

I don't own a TV.

Who still watches TV? I stopped that about 8 years ago. I dont even own one.
-
27 inch is fine for me

Anything more than '32 you need a couch for, and that just makes me think of how much wasted space is used on living room entertainment centers when I watch and play 99% of my content on a monitor anyway. I only use the living room tv to play DDR like twice a year. Now a giant 900lb crt tv for retro gaming? That I can understand.
Perhaps when they have the tech affordable enough to have entire wall screens I would consider it, if for nothing more than to have a beautiful 8k snowy mountain landscape take up an entire wall.
-
I think TP needs better glasses.
Dual 25's is great for me, I don't want bigger.

Tp4 recommends Triple 65" Curved as a minimum for general productivity use and casual gaming.

My chair already feels like a couch to me

I don't own a TV either :p

everytime I buy a larger TV, it's never big enough when I get it home. But the wife hasn't given in to the getting a larger than 55" panel yet.
-
No TV here either.

Tell her, Tp4 recommended 75" minimum.
-
Then I have to convince her a 55" is perfect as the bedroom tv so I will have room to put in the 75"+ lol.
-
i don't really watch tv but i do use a big 56" instead of a monitor
at first i though i wouldn't like it but it turns out it's actually sick

Tp4 Approves removal of 55", new installation of 85" for the Living Room, 75" for the Bedroom.
Possibly 55" in the dining room corner..

just managed to get my end game tv a sony trinitron, not quite large enough though, only 32 inches but the best to run old consoles like a ps2 and for the price it can't be beat (free) :) but yeah i do not understand the appeal of TV that you need to build your house around i'd rather sit a bit closer and spend half or quarter the price and even get better response times and luminosity.

It's kinda interesting how the sides are split into these two camps. Not owning a tv at all vs owning/wanting the largest one available. Echos many other modern consumer markets eliminating middling options.

Bigger has always been better in terms of ergonomics, It just wasn't affordable UNTIL NOW, hence the desire.
Peeps who have decided to stick to compact haven't tried the other side. No one ever goes back once they've experienced proper desktop computing..

I just can't imagine not being annoyed trying to do an Excel sheet or type up some document on a giant screen that's halfway across the room. Even if I'm doing art I want the screen as close to my face as possible.

I have used a 48 in. several times, HAAAAATED it, it was clearly too close but I'm also not going to dedicate 8 feet of wall and put my desk on the other side of the room just so I can have dual 48in screens.
I also don't need people on the street able to tell that I'm reading GH.
I paid EXTRA to get smaller screens because I specifically didn't want to look across 8 feet of screen.

i am not sure i agree, well i am sure i do not, at my work they decided to deploy 55inch TVs as computer screens in a few places and for sure it is good for presentations when you need to do actual work on them it is a pain in the neck (literally) and even gaming on a 45 inch tv was quite uncomfortable when i had one at my old place. i can't really imagine going bigger would help as what i find the most comfortable is 22 to 26 inches from 30/45cm away and 15.6 for laptops, actually i would go smaller if it was not for the keyboards. and well affordable is a big word there when a tv cost the price of my car i do think about it twice calling it affordable.

See that's why Tp4 said, "PROPER DESKTOP COMPUTING"
You guyzus really need to reimagine the computer-space.
in the Smaller 10 feet rooms. You do 65" x3 screen, in the 15-20feet rooms you do 75"x3 (minimum) 92" x3 would be ideal.
The Distance is what makes it awesome. Eyes are at infinity focus at rest, The further the distance, the more relaxed they are.
EYE Comfort comes first, It's the most expensive equipment in all of this, and You CAN NOT get another pair.

Yeah, I'm gonna pass.
I can't image even remotely imagine trying to do per CAD editing from that far.

That's where the 92" comes in.
