I'm staring to think people have a reading issue, or that they think Hako and Halo are the same thing...

As far as I know, Drop now owns the rights to these stems/switches, which is why you can't find them anywhere else.

One reason why people want Halo is to put the stems into other switches' housings and make Holy Panda and Holy Chickie switches. Massdrop/Drop has also sold ready-made Holy Panda switches.

You also can't use O-rings with BOX switches such as the Hako.

Where for the love of god Can I find either halo trues or clears other than massdrop
Input Club once had a partnership with Massdrop when developing the K-Type keyboard, which included the Halo switches. Input Club did the engineering of the keyboard and Massdrop provided money and connections. Then they had a falling-out.
This means that Massdrop owns it and Halo switches are not available through Input Club.
Input Club then developed the Hako switch as a replacement.

BTW, the Massdrop CTRL keyboard is the same as Input Club K-Type, but unlike the switches (which are both manufactured by Kailh), the keyboard is open hardware available for anyone to manufacture if they wish to.

I've ordered both and I can't tell any difference in either. They both feel the and sound the same.

Swapping the stem into cherry mx blue housing wont make it clicky the click comes from the stem. You are using regular Cherry housing with a MX blue spring. And yes you can only get it from massdrop since they are the only ones allowed to buy and let kailh produce it.

A Halo stem in a Cherry MX Blue housing is what is called a "Holy Chickie". Cherry MX Blue does supposedly have a stiffer leaf spring inside than other switches that would make the switch more tactile.
I've tried a keyboard that supposedly had Holy Chickies (the guy who owned it had bought it pre-assembled), and I liked it more than Holy Pandas.

Well, then your stuck with drop, as they own the Halo name.  I'm fairly certain Kailh makes both, but if you don't want to wait for drop, you can pay 10 bucks more on Amazon and get them in two days.  Trues are sold on the same page.
