Hi everyone!

Thanks for all of your feedback on the project so far. Since posting this IC, I've made some design changes that I think are substantial enough to warrant a new topic altogether, so I'll be locking this topic now.

I've got a prototype of this new design arriving early next week, and I'll be posting a new IC in the weeks following.

Seamless / Screwless / Top Mount / 60% / WKL

Hello Geekhack, thanks for taking a look at my first IC. I'm Lucas, or ookey in most places, and I'm based in the UK.
It's certainly nothing fancy, just a clean and minimal top mount 60%.

Here's how the top piece and base will be screwed together once assembled, before putting on the keycaps.

Details

  -  7° Angle
  -  Uniform Bezels
  -  No Externally Visible Screws
  -  Seamless
  -  ~18mm Front Height
  -  1mm Neoprene Case Foam Included / Potentially 3.5mm Neoprene Plate Foam Included
  -  6061 6063 Aluminium Top and Base / Anodised Black or Potentially E-White
  -  Top Mount 1.5mm Plate / Anodised Black Aluminium / Potentially Polycarbonate

PCB and Layout

  -  Soldered-only
  -  ESD Protection
  -  QMK and VIA Compatibility
  -  Centred USB-C Port
  -  No In-switch LED Support

Only ANSI plates will be available in the GB, with both ANSI and ISO plates files available for those wanting to get their own plates made. Keys in blue are supported by the available ANSI plate, while keys in red will only be supported by the PCB.

For round one there will be 25 group buy slots open plus extras, with the price still being TBD. If the first run is successful and there is still demand, I'm happy to do a larger round two in the future.

I like it. Clean and simple design. You list your price as TBD but do you have any idea about the ballpark cost, or target cost?

Cool looking keyboard! What price point will this around? Same 60% keyboard S58 also came nearly, looking forward to see which one has more value!

Cheers! It's hard to say right now, but I reckon it will be more in the $275 - $375 range. I'm not sure how many S58s are being made, but as I'm making so few for now, the price will most likely be higher I'm afraid.

This looks really clean. the thick bezels are not my thing but beauty is in the eye of the beholder right? I hope this one goes well, I really like the trend toward seamless rectangles

Usually not a fan of WKL but this is sleek! Good luck with the IC, I am sure you wont have a problem selling off 50 units.
