I'm happy to finally present the Dalco 959 Mini:
A High-end Porsche 959 inspired 60  

We've worked to capture the brilliant industrial aesthetic of the Porche 959, while staying true to the iconic simplicity of keyboard designers before us.
The side profile is inspired by the elegant curves of the 959, bringing elements of this classic style into a modern keyboard.
The weight and rear accent are exaggerated but tasteful, scratching that itch for more brass and steel most of us have. We hope you enjoy!

So to clarify, the board is named "Mini", and is part of the 959 series.

1. Does this mean the 959 series will have other layouts in the future?

this just looks so damn good. the side profiles were what caught my attention first, but even the rear accent, the front lip, the round corners and sleek flat back, everything just looks so damn good. i'm imagining amount of units will be pretty limited and the price will probably be fairly high so i won't get in on this, but it looks like a stellar board

I conceded on this based on the porsche theme, because I do agree it was a bit odd not to offer it considering the roots of the board haha.

Wow, the design looks absolutely amazing. It oozes premium quality. The only thing I wish wasn't there is the seam on the sides, but nonetheless it's one of the most beautiful boards I've ever seen.

Not for everyone, but for me and a few other gamers I know, we all prefer WKL or HHKB. Most of us game on Polaris WKL or HHKB pros.

I’d prefer to not have a meta key that can accidentally minimize my games, or that I have to unbind to avoid that.

I'm at a loss for words.

I'm not sure what's more confusing, buying programmable keyboard intentionally but trying to justify not wanting to spend the tenth of a second it takes to reprogram the meta key or taking anecdotal evidence from one's friend up to declare that "gamers" prefer WKL/HHKB layouts over x or y.

My original reply was a broad generalisation, and as I mentioned in my previous post that's obviously not true in that it's not for everyone.

The justification is pure preference. I don't care if I can reprogram the key, I just don't want it there if I'm essentially reprogramming to disable. And I know there are certainly others in the community who share this view point.

WKL looks great, feels great and gives you that extra level of protection against the dreaded winkey. But for real, it mostly comes down to what you’re used to (or what you’re willing to learn). Go with your heart!

The back doesn't look fluid because of the difference in the brass weight and ss accent piece but for some reason.... I dig it. interesting design and influence from the 959. Hope you don't get screwed over by porsche design or anything like that. gl!

The GB began in Jan 2020; it's been so long I don't actually remember when the estimated fulfillment time is, but it's way past due. When we asked him, he would say everything is ready for shipping, but follow that with radio silence. After awhile, he just stopped responding completely.

He also seemed to have abandoned his older discord (not the one posted in this thread).

Yes.  Not quite sure why no one updated the thread here, but the limited Group Buy raffle on the Koi Raffle system happened last night.  Hundreds of entries with 50 boards available.  All invoices have been sent out.

It's unfortunate, but the demand for keyboards now has changed the game.  If you're really interested in a board, you will most likely need to join the discord server of the group buy runner and stay up to date there.  There's too much going on now for some of these things to stay updated across multiple platforms.  When that happens, it's generally the faster moving platform like discord that wins out.  I'm not saying that's good or bad.  It's just the way things are currently.
