Title: I'm new to the forum and I have some interesting ideas for my keeb project.

Hi! I'm RedBarnacle and I am just getting into the mechanical keyboard hobby.  After watching some videos on YouTube (thank you taeha) I have decided to join this forum (in addition to the relevant subreddits).  I am planning on building a full 100% keyboard (I am a shortcut power user and I want to have all of my keys, as that's the layout I'm used to) and from what I have seen online it seems like nobody builds those.  So, custom designed PCB is the way I'll be going, I suppose.  Linear switches (gat yellow or nk creams are the ones I'm thinking about).  I will likely need to fabricate my own case and plate (not hard, I have skills with CAD modeling and rapid fabrication of custom parts) and I am even considering making my own keycaps with a custom legend of some kind.  And to top it off I will make a custom cable with a kit from CruzCtrl.  I'm looking forward to my mechanical keyboard journey!

The NK Creams seem excellent. Maybe consider Matias silent linear switches as well, those are probably my favorite silent switches I've ever tried if you're into that.

Hmm.  My favorite thing about linears is the way they sound, so I probably wouldn't choose them for this, but maybe if I was working on a build to bring to an office or something I might try silent ones.  I'll keep those in mind for the future.
