I saw this was also mentioned at the end of the other thread, but given that the original link on that one is from 2009, I thought it deserved its own thread

Seller is being an idiot and placing the starting bid too high.

Either that, or when the dust clears after the final 30 seconds, he will have been proven to be quite the genius...

Wow - SOLD @ $622 final... So...Genius? or would it have gone for more if there were some piranha  action at the end with more than two interested parties?

Well, actually all it takes is two, I suppose.  I had a bad timing issue when I bought my HIS HD3850 AGP card on thebay -they were scarce from HIS with the IceQ3 cooler and two more yo-yo's wanted the same and were willing to go 150% of the reasonable market value.  Two auctions , One lost the first and I wasn't going to be able to go near as high against the loser on the other auction, so I kept scouring  and Just so LUCKY that I caught a new listing go up within hours of starting with a best offer and I happened to hit the auto accept number dead on.   Close call that... and still haven't seen that card widely available either.  Then again, after I got mine I stopped looking.
