Post by: Evol on Thu, 26 November 2020, 11:33:24
Hi there !

I'm currenty looking to old mechanical keyboard to restore, and I found this one.

The problem is, I can't find information about it, and therefore can't know if it's a mechanical, or if it's a good quality keyboard.

Thank you :)

It is hard to see, but to me it looks like a single keycap profile on a curved backplane. Those are seldom mechanical.

There is often a FCC ID. From that you can look up the manufacturer.

aren't NBKs dome with sliders? i may have the letters in the wrong order, or even the wrong letters but if i am right those are considered pretty good dome with sliders boards. depending on your definition of mechanical keyboards those most definitely are in or out of it :)
with some of those keyboards the caps are easy to pull out (and looks like on yours some have been replaced so likely in that camp) if you can pull one you will be sure of that it is
