usually used by IC/GB maker to post updates on top of the thread, to make it easier to then read it all for a newcomer to the project.

Hmm. That's what I thought it was but then why to randoms post it or why are there multiple reserved posts in a row?

some peoples do not know what to say yet but know they want to be at the top when they say it :) vanity things

people make reserved posts so that if they're the thread owner and need to post consecutive updates of lengthy threads, they have multiple posts of space to do it. you can see in a lot of car build threads on car forums that they span years over their time owning and modding a car, so sometimes the posts get scattered throughout the thread

Apparently when randoms (not the OP) post this in an IC it's a meme saying they think there wasn't enough effort put into it.
I don't get it either.
