I saw it a couple months ago, and I couldn't make sense of it. When I did a Google search when I got home, I found that no one else could make sense of it either, so I am fairly confident that it just didn't make sense, most specifically the final battle sequence with soldiers simultaneously fighting forward through time and backwards through time. It's not so much the story as the concept. I am a bit fuzzy on it since some time has passed since I saw it, but it tried to combine both time travel via leaping through time and time travel via rewinding time (and the rewinding happened while others were still going forward) which just didn't make sense. Maybe the whole point was that time isn't linear, but, if that was the case, the movie didn't establish that or provide any alternate way to think about it.
It was a headache to watch, and I don't think it's worth a second viewing to try to understand it.
What are your thoughts?

Well one problem is certainly that the film is pretty loose with which objects had reverse entropy. This is problematic because it's difficult to convey from whose perspective is the reversal.
Overall, I don't think this movie could be done rigorously enough in live-action in fulfilling the main tenet.
A CGI movie would've made alot more sense since they could control more elements simultaneously.

I still need to watch it, added it to the server a couple weeks ago

I watched it and loved it. Albeit I'm quite the fan of Nolan since the Batman movies. I think that man has brought cinema to a new level. Interstellar is my fav movie.
The movie is definitely hard to get. But I don't think it's trying to prove any points. Just exploring the concept of time travel from another point of view.
The last fight is hella hard to get, how everything correlates to the rest of the events.
I will definitely watch it again cause I like it, it's visually awesome. And the actors and their performance are quite outstanding too.

OK, I just watched it and... I'm not sure if I understood it correctly.
Am I getting old or something, getting more stupid with age?
Or maybe just overthinking it like most things in my life? ;)

I watched it twice and only grasped the basics but at least now I understand the timeline ;D
Enjoyed the movie a lot!

Great action, compelling plot, novel story telling in an age when all Hollywood does is rehash and reboot, great special effects. Thumbs up from me.

You have to use ffmpeg to reverse the video file. If you watch it forward, then backward, then forward again, back-to-back-to-back, the plot will all make sense.
More seriously: it is supposed to be a puzzle. Nothing makes any sense for the first half of the movie, but you are supposed to pay close attention and remember as many details as possible. Then what was happening before is revealed in the second half of the movie (if you were paying attention). If you were confused all the way through a rewatch might help.
See if you can figure it out for yourself (and after you understand the basic plot, try to figure out who Neil is). Sure the plot is contrived, but also cute/clever.
I thought this film did a much better job at satisfying its premise / following a consistent internal logic than Inception or Interstellar.
Memento is still Nolan's best.
