It's not just you. There is a second 6 in the base with orange tho. I think there should be F5 in orange too, to make the change of color round, like a portal. I already suggested this to smokey.

I love the idea and the colors!

I have never been a huge fan of different accent colors on the alphas, so I will probably pass on this set due to this. But overall very cool, and good luck with the IC :D

I had a look at it initially but for me that looked completely out of place.

As stated above in the OP, a Bars Kit is in the works!
The B will most likely go in there, but I want to keep the 6 in base for people who would like to have the 'circle'.
And it's WS2, not WS1 :)

the base seems to be leaning more bluish, i think maybe having f5-f8 be orange might look a bit more balanced? since print, scroll and lock are blue. love the theme though, maybe have a wheatley novelty in blue, since glados has the orange-yellow colored eye.

I think the concept behind the set is difficult to nail in doubleshot. Dyesub and tripleshot opens up a lot more options and allows for more nuanced approaches to the idea.

A lot of those icons for the mats/novs are straight ripped from the source material, and some of the novs look impossible for gmk to do due to them being so close to the edge.
Why am I stuck with arrow keys that don't match the color of that side of the board?
I've seen this set on taobao and amazon for the last five years why would I want to pay a premium for it?
Your thread is doing a lot better on reddit, but that doesn't mean there are a multitude of flaws you should consider.

At least you're not appropriating cultures with this set!

Regarding IP:
The Aperture logo is just a generic camera aperture icon that has been used on other keycap sets before (JTK Photo Studio) and is way older than Portal or even Valve.
Same goes for the Exit man and the cake. Neither of those are copyrighted or trademarked by Valve.
The P-Body and Atlas logos weren't even used by Valve at all so it's not really their artwork. Those icons were created just for this keycap set (of course their source of inspiration is very clear).

The only minorly questionable thing is the companion cube because that is (afaik) actually trademarked by Valve.

I like the Base Kit colorway. I would say there is an opportunity here to introduce some red accents or novelties (red from the Sentry Turret sensor). I'll be curious to see how this plays out both with respect to the IP considerations and keycap profiles.

I'm going to say the same thing on KAT Quantum's IC thread as well, but instead of both of you rushing out your IC's, [whether or not you didn't rush it, it feels incredibly rushed], I wish you both would have thought about really fleshing them out at the same time, and releasing them at the same time as well-thought out interest checks. I like and dislike things about both versions, and honestly this could have been a wonderful collaboration between two designers in the community. As much as you say you both say there are no hard feelings, just know that the way you both went about this turn of events, reflects somewhat poorly on both of you. You both let your pride get in the way of your IC's looking fully fleshed out and it just simply cannot be ignored.

Considering that this is a nearly impossible color to achieve on plastic as it is legitimately pure white, there is no way that this is the representative hex for WS2. Having spoken with GMK about this, #F6F5F5 is more representative of WS2. If you used #FFFFFF for your renders, your renders may not be great representations of the color in person.

RGB color codes are never representative of a plastic color because it always change with the lighting on the picture.
Especially for white plastic.

Thanks for pointing it out. That's a placeholder that slipped through.
Renders are done the right way, looking at Stormtrooper / Monochrome whilst.
I will correct the HEX, thanks again.

But please be aware, that HEX / RGB codes are never representative of a plastic color.

Love the set! Is there any plans for more kits, for instance ergo/ortho? I would really love to get the option to use this with my Corne. If there are no more sets coming, is it inadvisable to use R1 and R4 on R2 and R3 (since there are no orange 1u accent keys).I have never used a sculpted set before, and would like to know how big of a tradeoff it is. Nonetheless, GLWGB!

40s / Ergo / Ortho is extremely difficult to run with this set, because of the split colors.
That rightaway means you can not reuse a lot of keys from the base kit for 40s.
For example, you would have to have an extra 1.75u and 1.25u Shifts just for the alternate colors.
I just don't think that is feasible to run, so I opted against it.
And yes, I would not advise using keys from different rows in different rows.

Just a quick heads up:

After today's events, revolving around the allegations made against MUBAI / enoch_xu, effective immidiate this collaboration will not happen.
He is said to be the middle man for some dumb dumb chinese "makers" who are cloning many maker's honest work and said to be in a very close 1:1 quality.
Some of the 'works' include CYSM, Artkey Universe, Brocaps, Alpha Keycaps etc.

I, myself, am a artisan collector. Faking, buying, selling and trafficking fake artisans is not cool!
Please buy and trade responsibly!

Same with Deskhero.ca in Canada. Haven't seen any reason it's being delayed.

I love these color profiles they are so modern and classic, very nice, the `IT IS A LIE` key for backspace I'm thinking
