I loved it. The cinematography was fire, the acting was good and the sports movie vibe was fun in a mini series format.
Cinematography- insane, videography- top notch, acting- great and storyline- superb. I have played 1 game of chess in my life so I was not really interested in it, but this series does such an amazing job of telling a story about chess(and many other things), it had me captivated right from the very first episode. Also kind of fell in love with Anya Taylor-Joy's character at the end of the series, her performance was phenomenal. The color grading was one of my most favorite things too. I'm glad they did not drag the story on to try milk it for money etc etc, it was perfectly told in the 7 episodes, in my opinion.
It's a good watch, but it seems to have nothing to do with chess other than using it as a vehicle for drama.

It's as much chess as the audience can handle. They've adapted real life chess drama, it's not just regular drama.
Yea it was pretty good.
