Title: Amount of Interest Checks & GBs
Post by: King Icewind on Tue, 22 December 2020, 14:50:59
This is meant to be a serious inquiry and not bash or insult anyone or anything.

That being said: if you go click on the Spy on latest forum post link in the top left, you'll see about 80-90% of the 30 posts are IC, and the rest are a few GBs and maybe an off topic/troubleshooting post. Does anyone else feel like that's a bit much? For those of you that have been around the forums for some time; has it always been this way?

Looking at these IC posts, many are quite similar not only in the look of the keyboard but the layout and manner in which the posts/pictures are written. Are we really dealing with a lot of different people passionate about keyboards, or various Chinese sellers? I don't know for sure, but it just seems odd.

What are your thoughts?

It's pretty normal.
There's a lot of interest checks and only a few group buys because most interest checks never make it beyond interest checks. That's the whole point.

I mean we can't really blow it on GPU's since they are not available, at least w/ certain GB's we have a light at the end of the tunnel to look forward to.

Not just GPUs, CPU's, PSUs, game consoles, webcams, music instruments, bicycles, puzzlebooks, arts and craft stuff, all of this was in short supply long before November. Anything that keeps people entertained or busy at home (for work or play) is in short supply, especially if there's a hobby behind it.

It was bad enough people bought it all up to avoid boredom but then manufacturing shifted to PPE, if we are lucky supplies will return to normal in time for next Christmas but while I expect it to be better than this year I have doubts it will be completely back to normal.
