Custom cable was plugged into faulty USB component. Now no data/power from plug on cable. Assuming the traces are not ruined. Which is unlikely. Anything small enough to clean it or something? Use Alcohol? Thank you

That connector is borked, replace it before you f-up anything else, which is what will happen if you keep trying to use it once damaged.
They are not repairable, even if you get it to work it's damaged and can damage other components leading to no end of problems with usb cables.
