Title: SA keycaps, high or low profile case?
Post by: scowdawg on Sat, 16 January 2021, 22:34:19
Building my first keyboard from parts. I have settled on an SA keycaps set from max keys because I like the colors, but I've never typed on SA keycaps before. I'm a little unsure what profile of case is better for SA keycaps. Should I go for a low profile case or a high? What looks better, what feels better? Also I've never used a wrist rest before; should I think about using one with SA keycaps?

Edit: In your opinion.

From my experience SA keycaps are very high so I would recommend a lower profile case. From my usage the angle of my wrist was not too comfortable so I resorted to lifting my wrists off my desk to type at a more comfortable angle. However if you use a wrist pad/rest then a higher profile should be fine. SA is my favorite profile to type on it feels retro and to me that is amazing.

In my opinion, it's best to use Sa with hand support
