I like fettuchine alfredo or penne alfredo and theres a city wide shortage , how do i make my own or how to cope?

just put like ranch dressing, cream, and butter in a sauce pan or something

take butter, take the same amount of Parmesan, melt the butter, put in the Parmesan, mix until you get a creamy sauce, add the pasta, and you get it (for more details, search "you suck at cooking fettuchine alfredo" and you will get an humorous recipe) it is rather easy to make.

i am still pretty sure of 2 things, plant based greases still "contain" cholesterol, and cashew cheese taste nothing like parmigiano reggiano...

Nope, it does not. No plant based products contain cholesterol.
You're thinking of saturated fat , yes, coconut oil may as well be lard, don't eat coconut oil.

I thought you were supposed to cook with it, not just eat it straight - that is normally the recommendation on any form of "lard" lol.

Excuse me, I think you'll find my 49 cent Imitation Cheese Food Product from Aldi does taste somewhate like cheese.

My recipe is;
16 ounces of heavy cream
2 tablespoons of decent butter, unsalted
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Rosemary
Basil
Oregano
Paprika (for some color)
Pinch of salt
Ground black pepper
The herbs and spices I just eyeball tbh
Actual instructions:
Add 2 Tablespoons of butter to a pan and allow it to melt
Add the carton of heavy cream to the pan and stir
Once stirred add the seasonings and herbs and stir
Simmer for about 20-25 mins until it can coat the back of a spoon
Salt and pepper to taste

Edit: managed to get a homemade alfredo recipe from my grandparents
