Title: An interesting feature of the dimensions of the IBM Space Saving Keyboard

The Model M Space Saving Keyboard is quite big by the standard of more modern tenkeyless boards given that it has an inch or so of superfluous bordering on each side, but it seems that IBM might have had method in their madness.

For those of you who don't want to watch the thing in its entirety, fast forward about 19 minutes into the video and soon after you'll see some folks using an SSK in front of a PS/2 Model 50... The keyboard is almost exactly the same width of the computer itself.

Kishy has pointed out to me that the lower end PS/2 Model 25 was around the same width at its widest parts, so the SSK would also be a near perfect match for that model too. Wonder where IBM got that idea from...
