The bottom one has a complete back label, is a model 2 and its from 88. However the top one has a ripped back label with nothing visible. I found the enclosed sticker on the back of the keyboard housing, says its a model 4 but i cant decipher what anything else means. Im sure ill figure that out eventually though, in the meantime they need a pretty good cleaning.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210131/56adc3afbd9ae75e04d4b91dbbb71979.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210131/08a399e1bcd25db56491aca634c3ec7a.jpg)

That's an immense deal! Does that one say it was done in 89? That's fairly late for a square badge type M122 isn't it?
Come visit us on the model M subreddit.
The 4 is the inspector I think, or the testing area. Your model is 1290892. What's the sticker on the back of the whole keyboard?

Damn! That's quite the deal! I was stoked when I bought mine for $80 for only 1. Where did you come across such a steal?

I still cant figure that one out. The older one is dated Jan 1988, but the newer one doesnt have a back label. Using the thread on the shop dates i dated it somewhere around late 1988 but that doesnt make sense because of that other tag that says 1989.

No idea why people cut the cords but someone needs to go snatch that up quick. Mine came with a cut cord but I ordered a replacement from Unicomp and it was perfect.
Here I come FB marketplace! hahaha

This is ridiculous but true. You can't make this **** up.
I asked this precise question to a huge wholesaler of surplus electronics, when I saw a big box of cords in his warehouse. He told me that while most reputable recyclers will not accept keyboards because they might contain harmful ingredients that would contaminate the waste stream, cords, on the other hand, are certain to be "clean" and can be sold by the pound or ton without fear.
I kid you not.
