Post by: tp4tissue on Mon, 01 February 2021, 08:02:20
Have ya'll noticed every fonecall ends with  "Stay Safe, BBy"

It's like everyone is a Pregnancy counselor.

Some months I don't use a phone (yes, even with no socialising Covid restrictions) but most calls have ended with 'take care' from the other person for years, just as many in person goodbyes did.  Demands from another to attempt to influence my behaviour are not appreciated or reciprocated.

*Take care is much more benign.

Whereas -Stay Safe- is very bible belt promise ring abstinence pledge (at least in 'Murica) .

why do Americans even managed to associate "safe" with sex? and well why would anyone tell TP to "Stay Safe" in that context, i am pretty sure he does it plenty well enough without any incentive :) (should not say anything, i am not better)

Along with your ah bu cu (that's the 'alphabet' for anyone lucky enough not to have been exposed to modern teaching drivel).  Seems to me kids are better off not going to school, except for the inevitable lack of social skills.
