If anyone here is interested in buying the lot and selling one mug to me, that would be great ;-)

i would have been in for one. its sold already. The $30 postage doubled the cost though. Someone paid $60 for 5 mugs (would have to sell individual ones from that lot at $12 plus postage). Still, probably a bit cheaper than what they normally go for on ebay.

Awww too bad, I might have bought those. Those mugs are cool.
Or at least one.... I need a good mug or large cup. Having a few IBM logos would be a bonus. Right now I have a large wendy's plastic cup.
I think some day my mug collection will be worth more than my keyboard collection.
I hate to break it to you rippy, but before those are worth any substantial amount, you'll already be dead. They're just a novelty item, nothing more, nothing less.

What do you call trading cards, comic books or any of that other BS that goes for ridiculous amounts? Not that I support the idea that those mugs are going to be worth a fortune, but people pay for the most frivolous items.

The rule is: If it exists, people collect it.
