Title: How is they tie spaghetti ?
Post by: tp4tissue on Sun, 14 February 2021, 09:39:46
You know how in the movies,  they tie the spaghetti in the middle before cooking and it comes out all facing the same way.

What's that called ? How do they do that ? Does it only work for baking ?

I have no idea what you mean. Do you have a photo example or reference?

ya'll haven't seen this ?  can't find images off hand, because don't know what it's called.

But I believe it's decorative.

No, I can't recall seeing spaghetti being cooked in a movie. Perhaps a crude MS paint picture would help  :)

Haha, it's not ringing any bells for me, but I imagine if the noodles were tied together and boiled in a sufficiently large pot, they could end up straight afterwards. *Shrug*

In my Googling, I found out about this movie. Maybe it has some clues. It has a 100% on Rottenpotatoes: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092048/
