Title: Slighly Upsetting
Post by: tp4tissue on Sat, 20 February 2021, 14:50:26
So, Tp's colorimeter can't really measure True black if it's below 0.01nits

Kinda sux, cuz the pr0bes that could do it start at $5000 used,

The 2.6 Billion : 1 contrast is obviously just the sensor clipping,  this lcd only goes up to 6500:1

What would be that dim? I can only think of OLED.

If you set the lcd backlight white lvl below 32.5 nits, at 6500:1 contrast,  the black level will be below 0.01nits .

Tp is trying to use the monitor in complete darkness.

Nice you found one with a minimum brightness at that level. Particularly handy if you can adjust it via DDC/CI with sliders or hotkeys.
