Design
I was inspired to make this keyboard after I modded my minivan case by removing the center 3 standoffs,
this creates a bouncy typing feel under the most centered alphas, which is quite nice.
However it still had hard tray mount feels around the mounting points,
which strangely encroach on the punctuation cluster, this made me hunger for more flex.
The hunger lead me to design the P⁴KCR3, a plateless, gasket mount, milled POM case,
that utilizes the edges of the PCB, and some gorilla gripp’n strips of silicone foam
to produce an extremely bouncy board.
This board mimics and expands on the benefits of the modded tray mount minivan,
while eliminating much of the harshness and inconsistent hard spots.
Whats new
Prototypes have been produced with the following features:
- Side angles have increased from 90d to 85d, decreasing the slope
- The top edge fillet has been increased from a 1mm to a 4mm radius

The typing feel is extremely bouncy in the center,
while the mods still retain enough stiffness under them for a solid bottom out.

Pricing and SKU
- the board will be offered in a white POM top, and brass bottom, both parts will be sandblasted
- the SKU offered will be chosen based on the options listed in the IC form (https://forms.gle/7YQsfo2qDYPEAq7Y7)
- for the case, and required hardware/gaskets, the price is undetermined.

under the guidance of da 40's bois, I added some gasket tabs to the center of the base and the center of the PCB
(the PCB ones are half height pads to compensate for the added 2mm distance needed to reach the bottom of the flex well.)

This reduces the flex by a good amount, I am also working with Esca to try to implement a plate and confirm compatibility with the getawayvan PCB.

the current plan is no on PCBs but I have launched a second IC form to determine what percentage of people need a PCB, as well as other questions, so I am certainly open to it.
Prices are looking to be pretty accurate, I will release final pricing for the POM/brass units closer to when I plan to begin the GB.
Max units for R3 (excluding FE) is 100, if more than 50 people actually want this board
