Hey geekhack! Always was interested in tinkering with things, never actually did it. A few friends of mine were pretty big into mechanical keyboards and since my new job requires me to type a lot I thought I'd take the dive. got a keychron K8 with Gateron brown switches, and was pretty much sold. That urge to tinker with things sprung up from there and I began to wonder, "Well, these Gateron browns feel nicer than a keyboard I bought a year ago with cherry reds, what else is there? What else can I do?" So here I am. I love to learn!

Hi lucidsanity. Welcome to Geekhack.
I had a similar introduction to things other than "gaming" mechanicals, although it was ye olde capacitive buckling spring. Gaterons are quite nice for common MX clones.
