Title: AT cable replacement
Post by: WhiteRice on Sun, 15 August 2010, 22:25:44
I took apart one of the keyboards I just got and noticed that the AT cable was attached by a 4 pin connector with a ground.

Is there any place to find a ps2 one I can replace it with?

I have  2 extra ps/2 cables sitting here on my desk.  I found them attached to some horribly crappy Logitech membrane keyboards sitting in the dumpster.  Spend any longer than 30 minutes looking in dumpsters and I'm sure you will come across a pile of crappy ps/2 keyboards that nobody cares about.  If your time is more precious to you than that, just swing by your local thrift store and buy a crappy ps/2 keyboard for 50 cents.

A sweet mod would be to install an sdl port on a pc at board so you could use any model m cable and be detachable.  But with that much effort you may as well install a USB converter instead.  Any ps2 cable should work, just find the pinouts and you're set
