Im sure everyone is with me in saying that all these new touch screen keypad/boards ala iPhone/iPad/blackberry storm/new MS touch keyboard/etc are the worst feeling "keyboards" ever.
I have to use these low-quality, horrible things at work today. They'll probably give me arthritis.
I noticed it when I switched from a Blackberry to a Verizon Droid Incredible...I miss the feel of the 'real' keyboard of the Blackberry and I can't type anywhere near as fast. I make more typing mistakes and I can't type with two hands or do "no look" typing. Touch keyboards, in a word, suck.
None of the boards mentioned so far are that bad compared to the Atari 400 membrane keyboard:Show Image(http://www.vintage-computer.com/images/atari400.jpg)
It wasn't even a touch keyboard, you had to press kinda hard. Scarred me for life as a kid!

Point taken. I will accept that a keyboard with no travel and no tactility is going to be worse than anything else...
I never used any other early 8-bit computer than the Commodore 64.
It was a very long time ago, so I don't remember too much, but I remember that I liked the Atari ST keyboard even less than the C=64's. The key caps were quite wide on the top, so you mistyped a lot.
The function keys were the worst, though: they were flat and diagonal! You mistyped these even more.
