Ok, I just thought "i haven't made many posts in a while" and I thought it was about time I did. However, I am in a rather peculiar place in which to post on the forums, for righ now I am sitting at Fenway Park in Boston, MA, watching the Red Sox getting beat by the LA Angles. So I ask fellow geekhackers, from what weird places have you made posts on the forums? Oh, and the device being used to post, an iPod touch, they have free wifi here at the ballpark.

1- 32,000 FT somewhere over Texas-Alabama on a coast to coast flight.
2- A restaurant bar bathroom stall after 3 strong drinks during a dull date.
3- On the beach.
All with an iPhone
I even remember which posts they were. :)

At my Uncle's house using a nearby Church's wireless internet? After which of course my T60p died from heat.

P.S. Now posting from a airplane with a non-dull date from a bathroom would have taken the prize.
I know. I sure hope someone else has.

Your mother's bedroom.

That's a very large, general area there (Basically the whole Gulf Coast but Florida). And how would you have got Internet there? Even with a rooftop TV antenna the farthest Wi-Fi signal I ever got was a mile away, and I wasn't over 6 miles up in the sky.
-
Well, I've made plenty of posts in other forums from Afghanistan and Iraq, but I wasn't on Geekhack then...
-
I post from my place. It gets pretty weird often.
-
Wow, how'd you convince her to do that?! Was it a paid site? ;)
-
Ripster: keeping GeekHack PG13 since 2009.

Was that a joke? Are you completely stuck in the year 2000 like Conan? lol

I know nothing of the girl with the keyboard on her head. The pictures I sent MW were nude, and the girl was blonde with double d's. Rippy, I expect an apology and retraction.
-
I never liked size Ds. They get in the way, and they turn into sagbags later on. C for me please.
-
ripster: apology accepted.

I got you covered. I started geekhack while in Iraq. (LSA Anaconda, to be exact)
;)

Hmm...well, I've posted from:
- Top of 3 ski hills, Niseko, Furano, Shiga Kogen
- Bullet Train (Nagano to Tokyo, I had a Docomo phone ripster :P)
- McDonald's (around 1 AM, Sapporo, February, cold...)
- Cleverly :P
- Ferry between Honshu and Shikoku
- Karaoke box (japanese term, room where you do karaoke)
-
I've posted drunk several times. Once at a wine bar in the San Antonio airport. I can't recall some of the other places I have posted. There might be a reason for that.

YES IT IS (HOORAY FOR GOOGLE!). AND AT 600 MILES AN HOUR IT PASSES BY VERY FAST.
And how would you have got Internet there? Even with a rooftop TV antenna the farthest Wi-Fi signal I ever got was a mile away, and I wasn't over 6 miles up in the sky.
EITHER SOMEONE HAS A MODERN ROOFTOP ANTENNA FROM THIS CENTURY, OR, BETTER YET, THIS. (http://www.gogoinflight.com/gogo/splash.do)
I ALSO MADE A TELEPHONE CALL DURING THAT SAME FLIGHT TO DUMP THE OBSESSIVE ATTORNEY I HAD GONE ON A MONTHS WORTH OF DATES WITH. LET ME TELL YOU, I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A LONG, COILED PHONE CORD. YOU WANT TO KNOW SOMETHING FUNNY? WHEN I PISSED IN THE PLANE, ARKANSAS REPORTED RAIN, AND THERE WASN'T A CLOUD IN THE SKY.
THANKS FOR ASKING, I'M GLAD WE COULD DO THIS TOGETHER. NOW I'M GOING TO GO BEAT MY MEAT IN THE KITCHEN BEFORE THE PRESIDENT GETS HERE FOR DINNER.
THEN THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY I DON'T OWN A COMPUTER AND TELL LIES TO IMPRESS OTHERS AND FEEL BETTER ABOUT MYSELF.
ASK ME ANOTHER QUESTION.
I DARE YOU. :)

You shouldn't write in all caps because they're all square, and hard to read.

IS THAT SO?
Is that so?
Hey, you are right! I couldn't see the letters well on my iPhone outside in the sun, so I capped them. Didn't work out well at all. Good thing I didn't type anything important, like about keyboards! :)

Bla bla bla

Nope. I'm still stuck in the nineties. I use Windows 3.1 and own no car made in the 21st century. My TV's from 1992. So is my VCR.
