Title: Burrito Sizes
Post by: tp4tissue on Mon, 19 April 2021, 09:15:29
How big do you guys make um.

Tp4 makes them Hotdog sized.

Empirical testing, Any bigger, the stuffing tends to fall out more easily, and you don't get enough of the salty wrap taste/texture per bite.

when i went to the kebab place i used to get their durum option, a kebab in a burrito form pretty much, and they were about 3 to 4 cm in diameter, depending on how big the salad was cut that day. at home i am usually a bit more conservative.

I get mine put into a bowl rather than wrapped in a tortilla.

I used to go to a Mexican place that sold burritos ("little donkeys") which were "regular" US size (like what Taco Bell sells) and then "burros" which were at least double the volume. I preferred them since they were a better value and had a better ratio of filling to carbohydrate.

They were difficult to eat, but since they came well wrapped in aluminum foil you could eat them by hand if you were careful to peel down the foil just so. And yes, they were often a 2-meal purchase. They could also be eaten easily enough on a plate with knife and fork because they did not make the filling too runny.

I try to get burritos around the diameter of my palm, that way when I hold the burrito's end it fits perfectly and I'm not afraid of anything falling out.

l = ~ 1,5 - 2dm

Ø = ~ 4,5 - 5cm

C = ~ 1,5 - 1,7dm

Mean density = Burrito

It's weird how Cali puts fries in their burritos and that's kinda the norm out there. Very California.

I mean, I don't see that as a bad thing - other than Fritos in a Burrito > Fries
