GMK Sunset Surfing (April 27th- May 28th)


Story and Inspiration:
This set was inspired by surfers like Greg Noll and the golden age of Hawaii big wave surfing. I wanted to pay tribute to the feelings of catching a wave when the only source of light is a beautiful sunset. I was also inspired by California and Hawaii surf culture, especially Malibu and Aviator Nation.

man, $150 for a base kit with 2 (custom) colors and no new molds? is that just what gmk is gonna be from now on? even with the kono tax, that seems like a lot...

Not that I am defending it or supporting it, but aren't most Kono base kit sets around $140-$150? So it doesn't seem anything out of the ordinary here

I've seen a lot of $135-145 kono sets in the past, but I think this is the first $150 I've seen

and that's for 2 colors, no f13, and not a huge amt of alice or 40s support in base?

it's a nice enough set and I know kono is expensive but sheesh

edit: just checked. prepress was the same price but with a lot more custom stuff. storm was $155 but with a lot more custom colors. the only comparable priced sets I saw relative to those things were on TKC which is not exactly a ringing endorsement

That's unfortunate. Doesn't look like we'll hit MOQ on anything, unless we get a surge near the end. Was really looking forward to these.

EDIT: After joining the discord, and reading chat from archerypro, it is clear that I do not completely understand how MOQ and ordering works, and that there is no concern with meeting MOQ.

We’re the 2.75U Novelty Shift keys misprinted as 2.25U?  My kit ha 4 2.25U shift novelties, but they are facing different directions so I’m not sure it was a mistake!
