why did you choose to go with QMK over ZMK?
I love seeing more wireless options coming out, I just thought there were some issues with QMK and BLE?

so we are still in the prototyping stage, but this is ultimately an evolution of what Paw uses to get around QMK/BLE issues. ZMK blows ass so going QMK was a no-brainer. battery draw is estimated based on projected LiPo capacity i added a pocket in the weight for, but will be updated based on what we discover in prototyping!

just a quick update on where things are: we're making an ortholinear PCB to release alongside the staggered PCB. this won't be an add-on like in the v1, just a standard variant with no extra cost. additionally, i am making modifications to the design so we can place a microswitch behind the Walletburner badge on the back so it can be pressed to turn the Bluetooth on and off. i think after these two changes, i'll get prototypes ordered and right after those are evaluated, we'll go to GB. hopefully a little before Campsite ships so I can have them overlap slightly in production so as not to waste time getting things to customers!

we're cruising towards 600 IC responses at the moment, and I want to thank everyone for their kind words in the form <3 people seem very excited and i'm reading each and every comment in the form and weighing them to decide on any further design changes. thanks for your input and have a sick day

Lol probably bc the base flares out. Ive never had a Bauer but the Skillet by Adron/Hitoto Design was the more direct inspo, along with some sketches from a Bauhaus book I have (just to reeeeeally ratchet up the pretentiousness).

Wow, we are just shy of 600 IC responses. I did a poll on Instagram recently, and the clear winner for my next project is Neuron v2. We receive prototype PCBs this week, and will open the GB shortly after.

I'm going to probably decrease my post frequency on GeekHack even more in the coming months.
