Title: Sharp MZ-80K Keyboard Clone
Post by: wdouglass on Thu, 27 May 2021, 08:14:38
Hey all,

I saw this twitter post yesterday, and i can't stop thinking about how cool it is

I'm considering designing a keyboard to clone this one:

I would probably draw the board in kicad myself, have it manufactured by JLCPCB or somebody similar, and then try and run a group-buy for the keycaps (after drawing them with KLE or something similar)
.
Would anybody else be interested in a project like this? the case would be the hardest part for me, as I'm not super mechanically inclined. I'm a computer engineer, so i can handle designing a board and porting QMK.
