So to get a feel for Matias's Clicky switches, I got a Matias Tactile Pro 4 to play with. And because I wanted black keycaps and am a huge retro geek, I applied some keycaps I'd pulled off of an ancient Tandy laptop (80s era), which happened to be Alps-compatible!
The keys looked rather odd on my AEKII, but they seem to meld well with the Matias board, and get rid of the many excess notations on the keys, which I personally found ugly.
What do you think? Personally, I think it retros up the look significantly. Now if only I could get the case professionally painted in matte black...
(And, yes, that IS an Alps keycaps desk mat under it! Found that little gem on eBay.)
