Title: Wimbledon 2021
Post by: phinix on Tue, 29 June 2021, 02:43:58
Anyone watching?
I love tennis, its the only sport I really like.
Watched few games yesterday. I had a break from tennis for years till now. I was a huge fan in 90s, where my idol, Andre was playing.

Watching yesterday's games I think I noticed a difference in play, compared to that tennis in 80-90s.
I had a feeling that these days players make more mistakes, not sure if this is a result of trying to introduce more aggresive tactics/strategy or just... lack of experience.
Those mistakes were at some moments very weird, like rookie mistakes.
Strange. I'll watch more in next days, will see if I can confirm my theory :)

Game on!  :D

I will probably catch more towards the final matches, but yes the players have definitely changed in their tactics since the 80's & 90's era players.  There are still some good match ups that put on an incredible match (mainly in the women's brackets).
