Hi,
Would a 'DAS Model S Professional Keyboard' be an equivalent or suitable replacement for an IBM Model M?
Thanks.

Depends what you want to replace it with. If you want to replace it with nearly the identical thing, go with ripster's advice. The Model S (Silent) has brown cherries, which are mechanical, tactile, non-clicky switches. Because they're non-clicky, they don't make a lot of noise. They feel a lot different from bucking springs (the switches that the Model M uses).

Fragment, welcome to geekhack!
Can you tell us more about what you want? Model M's are all over ebay, so if it's a M you seek, check there. If you're wanting something similar or different, help us understand what you are looking for.

Thanks! I actually ended up purchasing the Das Keyboard Model S Professional Silent. Loving it! Trying to do some research to see if they have any custom keycaps.

Nice choice...I like cherry browns. Glad you found a good replacement.
