Hello!
So I've narrowed down to two switches, Tangerines and Alpacas.
Honestly, I don't know what to get. Please help!

I don't have first-hand experience with these switches (though I have received a batch of Alpacas that should be going into service soon), but I thought I'd share these detailed reviews in case you hadn't seen them.

Here is Theremingoat's comparison of the Tangerines to Alpacas:
- Of all the switches on this list, the Tangerine V2s are definitely the most similar [to the Alpaca V2] in terms of smoothness and consistency of smoothness throughout the push feel.
- I will say though, the C3 Tangerines are both noticeably louder and have such a high-pitched topping out sound when compared next to the much quieter Alpaca V2s
- While these two switches have nearly identical E/W stem wobble, there is marginally more wobble in the N/S direction of the Tangerine V2s.

hmmm....... For me, I do not think that the Tangerine's switch sound is annoying. I kinda like it, tbh. Anyways, why did you go for Alpacas? Were there any switches that you were thinking about before buying the Alpacas?

From what I can tell, switch preferences are subjective and the advice others have given me is to try a few to see what I like. I started with Alpaca because they're well regarded, were available as a bundle in the new keyboard I purchased, and I had to start somewhere. The next one I try will be Gazzew U4T Bobas because I don't know if I prefer tactile or linear, so I'd like to try each kind. Then after that I plan to try Gatreon Yellow because they seem the "standard" and one of the reviewers I admire (BlackSimon) likes them... plus they are cheap. I am fortunate enough to afford to try these and sell ones I don't like, and I plan to do it slowly (over the course of months) so I can learn what I prefer. It is somewhat arbitrary, and I figure I just need to try things to see what I do and don't like.
