Title: Where to start creating GMK keycaps
Post by: killermax on Mon, 16 August 2021, 02:15:16
Hi,

I've been lurking for quite a while. After these years, I am finally ready to create my own design of GMK keycaps.

However, I dont know where to start. I have a colourway design in mind.
1. How do you render the set?
2. How do you contact GMK? Do I contact them through Unikey or to GMK directly for quotes?
3. How do I get vendors?

Thanks

Hi,
You can take a look at this post https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=108623.0 (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=108623.0) from Swishy.

For rendering the set, you use a 3d modeling/rendering tool like blender. Contact with GMK goes through the head vendor. Contact vendors once you have some feedback on your IC.
