Title: Can I use a GMMK PCB in a iKBC MF108 v3?
Post by: Madrobby on Tue, 17 August 2021, 14:27:39
I know that the GMMK is 104 keys, not 108, but has anyone had success transplanting it into a IKBC MF108 v3? I'd love to have 100% keyboard with aluminum case _and_ hotswap capability.

The IKBC is soldered and many soldered keyboards use a floating pcb, it's held up only by the switches. That will NOT work with hot swap, the pcb has to be mounted to the plate somehow.

There can also be differences between numrow and f-keys, numpad location, arrow location and even more likely USB port location.
