Greetings fellow keyboard enthusiasts :)
I've actually looking to find coloured replacement keycaps for the current Unicomp keyboards. I've come across Fentek that seems to manufacture keycaps for Model Ms, but with the Unicomps adopting a 1 piece keycap design these days, wouldn't the Fenteks not work with these?
I'm aware that black and grey key caps can be obtained from Unicomp for $20 a set, but has anyone ever come across custom Unicomp keycaps that are in other colours?

The key stems will be the same.

Unicomp still does two part keycaps on their white keyboards. What you get with their black/grey keyboards is sort of a lottery. They will also custom make two part keycaps

could he use the stems and keycaps from a model m and transplant it into the Unicomp?

Yes, they are completely interchangeable.

Here's a thread on Unicomp replacement caps. (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=8038&highlight=unicomp&page=2) I'm not sure if Webwit bought them out or what so you'd have to give them a call.
Most pics have been substituted (lol) but there are a few in the thread.
Yeah, what's up with the duck pictures?
I don't geddit.
