i already bought a few gifts, i usually buy during the whole year as i see things that i think would be nice for someone, and usually near xmas prices are inflated, be it new or used so a bit early helps with more/better gifts :)
although if it is home made i will do it closer to xmas, but then shipping is not a problem.
