Set on hold. The feedback is clear that I shouldn’t have posted this so close to the other set with the same inspiration. That was my mistake, so I’ll put this one on hold and maybe revisit it at some point in the future. Sorry everyone!

Introducing GMK Taschenrechner, an homage to the iconic Braun ET66 pocket calculator. Since another Interest Check was recently posted with the same source of inspiration (and particularly since I’ve been working on this design for several months) I’ve decided to lift the covers off my own interpretation a little ahead of schedule.
In the interests of simplicity — and following Dieter Rams’ principle of less but better — this design has only two kits: a base kit and a ‘Calculator’ kit, containing a mixture of novelties and other keys useful for reproducing the layout of the ET66 itself. Colours have been chosen (a combination of stock GMK and RAL) and will be revealed soon, along with further renders.

As I said, I’ve been working on this for months, but perhaps it was a bad idea to share it so close to the other design. Perhaps I should put this one back in the oven for now.

I do hope this is truly put on hold and doesn't die, as everything about this is to a much higher standard than the SA set!

Wanna support the guy.. I do think that this should stay and go on despite SA variation, and i see 3 reasons for that
1) They are quite different and this one matches the theme way better IMO
2) No one can "own" a color scheme like that since it's based on a product/thing
3) Most of the time SA and Cherry has a different audience so i don't think there is gonna be a conflict, a lot of people would love to see this idea in cherry profile
P.S Making a 2 kit's definitely a bad idea, it lacks alice support, 40's, nordeuk and i highly suggest you to revamp your base kit
P.S.S Work a bit more on a novelties, it's better to make a 6 keys novelties kit than a 25 keys of something like you have right now
