IMO the difference between the mods and the alphas is so subtle, I can't tell if it's there or not - which is kind of frustrating for the eyes personally

I agree with Justin's comment, because the difference is so subtle, I'd rather prefer the same color either 194 or 193c

Really nice kitting, good job.

Consider adding a 2u Shift and numpad 00 to the extension kit; those are the only keys that are notably missing.

A generic R4 1u key (e.g. Code or Photo) would also be nice to have in that kit. I would change the extra 1u Ctrl to be that generic key, since there are no modern non-40% layouts that use 2× 1u Ctrl.

I suggest making the 1.25c, 2c, 2.25c, 2.75c keys in the spacebars kit alpha-colored instead of accent-colored. You could, optionally, also add 1c and 2× 3c keys.

Love red sets so I'll keep my eye on this, though something does feel a little odd about the very close mod/alpha colors but It could really grow on me!

I'm gonna also suggest using the same color for both mods and alphas. However, I'd prefer the darker 194c red. Either would look fine though I think.

Looking at the Pantone colour chart, I do think 193C and 194C are sufficiently distinct. But OP can consider 186C for the alphas and/or 188C for the mods to sharpen the distinction.

Icon only mods if possible! Would be nice if there’s a Cyrillic sublegend kit.

That is a nice ****ing base kit.

My only request would be dual 3u bars somewhere.
Also maybe not forced accent minibars please? Most of the boards where you make use of minibars, can't use that accent ESC or Enter.

Used my pantone book, they are noticeably different, but the difference is somewhat subtle, its possible that they will be hard to distinguish in dim lighting. Pantone 193C also has an extra (but slight) hint of orange compared to 194C

not sure I understand the inspiration for this set, include a paragraph on that, also text icon looks a bit cramped on the 1.25u shift. also consider adding alpha colored alice bars instead of forcing accent color.

I like the colors, consider switching to ws1 instead of ws2. I think the slightly warmer shade of white would pair nicely with the red and it wont yellow over time.

agree with the reverse jamon sentiment. i also don't really think it fits the photosphere/sun theme. the first color that comes to mind when thinking "photosphere" is definitely orange, not maroon. barring that, looks nice! kitting is pretty solid for the most part

I think going slightly lighter on alphas and darker on mods to add more contrast would be worth exploring. Also +1 on changing the smaller spacebars to match the mod color instead of white. Regardless, this set will likely be an insta-buy for me.

yes it's subtle. i'm guessing that's the point. a bit like taiga (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=111656.0) in that regard. fwiw, i totally dig the colors and the kitting. and i prefer the darker mods even if this is "reversed jamon". the extension kit puts this on my watched list: 1.5 supers, R1 "=", and R3 function, etc.  :thumb:

I personally like the subtle difference quite a bit, though I get why others might not. I just really like those two shades of red you picked. If you do decide to change them I’d prefer keeping the darker red if you go for the white on red route. Count me in regardless !   :thumb:

The colors look good (although a slightly darker mob color might look better in person), but I think the kittting could use a little adjusting:
- Single column macro keys (M1-M5) in the extensions kit or separate al macros keys into its own kit
- Add 1u spacebars in the spacebars kit

I'm going to disagree with most regarding colors, what makes this set interesting is actually the very subtle difference between mod and alpha colors, very nice.

Do add red spacebars to the spacebars kit though, please!

The similar GMK Jamon is gonna run in February (source, Zambumon discord) at a very competitive MOQ, and there’s a lotta posting here like this set will happen when there’s been no updates since the initial IC post. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see the novs that were previously discussed, but ICs with regular updates, polish, and respected vendors still fail right now.
