3 songs in and it slaps :cool:

The clarity of the voice recording is amazing, and they've manage to float it above the dense music itself.

I'm so repulsed by the unimaginative naming of her albums I'll never give them a chance.

Do it for me :-*
Side note: finished the whole album, solid 8.5/10 imo

I clicked the embedded video, that's as far as I'll go.
Piano - nice, but sounds like it's being played on vinyl rather than live? Lead vocals - not my taste but can't say they're bad. Unfortunately someone thought it was a good idea to add electronic bassy noises (unsure if supposed to be drums or ... :confused:) as well as weird and excessively panning (swapping left to right) overprocessed backing vocals, which completely ruins the old fashioned vibe the song would have had otherwise.
I'll give it 3/10.

Hahah I appreciate the effort though! I'd say that the embedded song is my least favorite but if you give it a 3/10 I don't think you'd enjoy the project either

Hmm...
/me switches to decent headphones and from 360p to HD video
No doubting the faux(?) vinyl playback clickiness on the piano intro now. The electronic bassy noises sound better but too much sustain to be even pretend drums, perhaps it's her young child playing bass guitar having started lessons last week? The backing vocals also sound more human which is an improvement but I don't like the voice and the fast panning is irritating. The bass is still a jarring contrast to the retro piano and vocals and the noise that doesn't sound much like banging coconut shells together (but you still know the one I'm talking about :P) is more prominent and annoying - clearly this is not my kind of music.
+0.5 for human backing vocals, +0.5 for the production quality and -0.5 for "coconuts" - revised score 3.5/10

As usual then - put out a video for a bad track that's supposed to appeal to the widest possible audience. Except I'm yet to meet anyone who's in this group...

S_orange = tough customer
The only <swipe> in Tp4's opinion on the music is the lyrics, they're the same dumb drivel that lull's the masses.
If only Adele sang in french, Is there a french Adele analog ?
