Hey everyone! I have had this concept idea for a while now,
but have finally managed to put something together after nearly a year; without further ado,
I present Domikey Kuriyama
These will be manufactured in the double shot style; Yes I understand that the novelties will need to be adjusted,
and they have already been done; Overall concept of the novelties have not been changed

Good colour theme. All functional keys need to have their own icons so that kitting looks better instead of just words.

Yes. Caps, shift, enter, del, ins, home, end, pg up, pg dn, scroll lock, pause/break, ctrl, alt, prtscr, num lock could all have some themed icons instead of just words. That way the whole kit would fit to the theme of Kuriyama completely.

I have ptsd just thinking about all those new mold costs. Either OP would have to quote out at very high moq or have an exorbitantly expensive kit. It is possible to do, but probably isn't the best idea.

If you go with PBT all your modifiers and accents will have to be 5-side dyesubbed. This causes major shrinkage and warping so I'd recommend you stick with ABS with your current colorway. You could look into JTK (which can do tripleshot so you have the option of having the hiragana sublegend use a third color) or DMK.

Especially for an anime inspired set, they allow for a lot more flexibility with what you can do with the novelties.
And ofc the lower price point and much shorter lead time.

Nice colours and clean novelties. I have a PBT bias so I’d be down for another manu, but MW has already run two recent sets with pink alphas + red legends + Japanese sublegends, so maybe there’s a bit of buyer fatigue there?

i think they mean since gmk kitting is different from epbt kitting. base kit, how moqs work etc. are all different. so the kitting can be altered to make base cheaper by moving numpad to child kit, removing 3-key and adding a full-blown 40s kit (personal request), etc. since all epbt child kits will be made as long as base reaches moq.

Hey Everyone,
My apologies for the lack of updates;
Just got the Melon Key collab colorway rendition done; looking quite nice!
Also currently working on getting quotes and pricing from all vendors before I post them up;

As with other ePBT kits as of late; there is a hold on ePBT GB dates as they want to clear up their queue first - there's not much I can do on my end regarding that except to wait :(

Hey Everyone,

I have just received word from ePBT that new projects will be on hold for another 10-12 months and unfortunately that means my set will also be on hold for another 10-12 months;

I MAY look into the possibility of seeking out different manufacturers, but my options are quite limited; I have reached out to MW prior to ePBT and they have turned me down, so I'm not sure what the chances are that they will accept me this time (If I were to reach out again).

I may reach out to Infinikey or Domikey as well to see their availabilities in the timeline

Regardless, I do deeply apologize for this elongated wait time; I had anticipated the group buy to be this year. Sorry!

Quick Update 9:

Hellos Everyone!

I have reached out to Domikey and they have agreed to work with me as the manufacturer for Kuriyama!
We have been in discussion in regard to the design and possible manufacturing method;
With that said, we believe we'll be able to pull off this set in Doubleshot.

Yes, I agree with the current styling of the novelties it will not be possible, but we have already worked on that and the updated novelties are shown below:

The overall concept has not been changed.

Once again, I apologize for the delays but at least were getting somewhere now.

Love the color scheme and the mix between bolder darker colors and the pastels, seems like it could end up with a nice result on a board.

Is the kitting going to be updated now that you switched to Domikey?

The 40s kit has two (2) dark grey `esc`, two (2) light grey `esc`, and two (2) `back` keys on R1 - when combined with the base kit, one would end up with three (3) dark grey `esc`, and three (3) light grey `esc` keys on R1, is this intentional?
