Title: Building My First Custom Mech Keyboard
Post by: Bhameck on Tue, 28 December 2021, 00:23:02
Hello all, I'm new to the custom keyboard scene and I want to share my current cart on KBD fans before I purchase to make sure that all of my decisions are OK. I would appreciate suggestions, feedback, opinions, etc. Also, should I spend the extra time and money on lubing the Zealios v2s?
Thanks!

Everything looks mostly fine, if you like the tofu84 ny all means go for it, although I might suggest a barebones q1 instead of it.

Also zealios are expensive switches and somewhat niche, are you sure you would like them? I might recommend something like durock t1s, other durock tactiles, sp star tactiles, or even boba u4ts

there's nothing necessarily wrong with this and it seems like it will come out fine, i would recommend something like a QK65 or Keychron Q1 barebones for a better experience/outcome but overall seems okay. also, i second Mighty Chicken's comment about the switches, Zealio's are super tactile and you maybe might prefer something like some slightly less tactile switches like the Kiwi's or Boba's
