Title: Drop Alt high profile foam mod advice

Hi, I am trying to find tutorial about modding drop alt high profile with sound dampening foam but they are all about using module case and plate foam.
Can I just put a normal foam as case foam without cutting hole at the bottom of pcb to get sound dampening effect?
