These guys are selling some Lexmark-branded Model M's (http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-1398601-Clicky-Keyboard-Lexmark-PC-/190436988124?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item2c56edd4dc) with AT-DIN connectors. I never knew they made them like that after 1987.

Those were made in 93, so I bet they are old stock cables they got from IBM when they bought out their stock.

I don't think they're stock cables. The AT-DIN cables on the 1985-1987 Model M's were black, while these are identical to the 1987-1995 cables, except for the plug.
I think the story behind these is that Lexmark offered AT-DIN cables with their keyboards. A few M5-2 and M13 keyboards have been known to come with an AT/Serial cable. It's probably a similar situation here.
