Please please please bring in Hotswap.

For all yee naysayers, I have kids. I can't have soldering irons and random small parts to solder at home. Maybe in 10 years time maybe... when they've grown but not now or soonish.

If you want hotswap, I'm happy to do it. But then it will have to be only hotswap. That way, the costs of one design can be kept to a minimum. PCB costs are through the roof right now. I think there will have to be some sacrifices to the layout.

Congrats for finally moving on with this project. Been waiting since the first IC release.
Unfortunately due to the halted project, I ended up getting a different board and acrylic isn't my taste either.
Even though I won't be joining, still think that hotswap would be better.

The aluminum/polycarb will see a revivial this year. I think hotswap should be easy to do but the current hotswap pcb needs a couple of updates.

If you're still going with the one PCB approach, will a hotswap version still support split backspace?

Unfortunately no. The current hotswap pcb has no options except stepped caps. It's kind of a toss up on which one to go with.

This is a small project that will have only one vendor.

Update to IC. Wrist rest and Artisan kobs added.
