Roost - A high profile, aluminum artisan tray

Roost is a 4x4, hi-pro artisan tray, made from 6063 aluminum, with a 7deg angle, and a tasteful nest engraving on the bottom, courtesy of the wonderful, beautiful and talented, OCM.

Sandblasted 6063 Aluminum
Approximately .8lbs or 360grams
Holds 16 individual artisans
Looks fantastic in any workspace

3-9-22 - A second round of prototype units is planned shortly to validate a few small changes. Holes under the bumpons have been added to make coating more accessible and inner walls have been adjusted slightly to allow more room for placing/removing artisans.

I like it!  What’s the motivation for high profile?  Also maybe add an acrylic lid they can be laser cut and with it being so deep it would complete it i think.

Also while being pretty different design wise the inspiration/name seems derivative of the nrd nest. It wouldn’t be so bad if you didn’t have that word in your ic. I think your idea is unique but some may feel odd about the similar name

This was actually designed and prototyped before I had heard of or even seen a picture of the nrd nest. In fact, it was originally called Nest! I chose to change the name out of respect for that design, and felt that Roost fit the theme I was going for quite well.

really like the angle, making the caps look like they are in higher rows as they go up.
looks like it will present the caps better than some i've seen.
